Nothing Interesting Happened Lately
January 6th, 2003 - 12:28 a.m.I'm Currently Avoiding: Thinking of Going Back To School
I haven't updated for...uhhh...quite awhile? I think it said 4 days when I looked at the buddy list, but I guess it doesn't *really* matter all that much. Not like I'm on a schedule or anything. Well, I guess my vacation is on a schedule of sorts, but my diary entries aren't. Except whatever schedule my own internal pressures (and sometimes external ones) impose.
I don't know. Most of the reason why I haven't updated lately is because I haven't done much of anything of note. I did laundry today. That's about as exciting as my life has gotten lately. Played secretary for my grandfather and did quite a bit of his correspondance the past few days. Cooked some nights. Played video games, read...that's about it. Nothing exciting or earth-shattering. I drove my sister to school on Friday morning, which meant I was awake until sometime after 8 am. My mother had a loaner car while her van was in the shop having its...radiator? repaired. It was an interesting experience. I like to drive cars, but it certainly wasn't that much fun with the couple of inches of snow that was on the gravel roads. Every time I had to stop at a stop sign, I was almost afraid that I wasn't going to get going again. Not a pleasant thing at all. Driving on the highway to and from the school was fine though. I wasn't terribly happy about the sunrise that I saw on my way to the school (her school is to the east of here). It proves that it's morning and mornings are to be avoided in my opinion. But the drive was nice, because I don't get to drive cars that often and I prefer them. I think the reason why I like to drive cars best is because they're fairly low to the ground. Maybe it has something to do with my center of gravity or the fact that I'm only of average height, if that. Whatever the reason, the result is that I prefer driving vehicles which are fairly close to the ground. I'm seriously uncomfortable driving pickup trucks and fairly uncomfortable driving vans (mini or otherwise), even though I can get accustomed to it if I must. Perhaps there's just a greater sense of control for me if I'm closer to the ground. I don't know. I guess the upshot of this is simply that if/when I ever buy transportation of the 4-wheeled kind, it will, almost definitely be a car of some type. That is all.
Tomorrow I'm going to the eye doctor at 10:30 in the morning. Blech. Morning appointments...and me a nightowl. Drat. I guess I'll make do with what's available. I can't really do otherwise. Thursday my Mom starts her classes again and then Saturday it's back to Philly for me. Hmm...why do I feel like this vacation's too short?
